Two hundred years in the future and humanity is on the brink of extinction. Food supplies are low, the oil’s gone, and the environment is ravaged. Then almost by accident time travel is discovered and soon man-made “trapdoors” link the future to the past, and millions of people live up and down the timestream. Their purpose is to process food and materials and ship it upstream to feed the growing population and fuel humanity's new golden age.
But for those living in the past it’s not always so great. Most live in factory complexes under the thumb of the oppressive corporations which run their lives.
Maya, Nestor, and Susan live at a factory in the Permian Era, 250 million years ago, on the super continent of Pangaea.
When Maya’s father is murdered, leaving her a cryptic message, they are dragged into a conspiracy which challenges their understanding of the world, and rewrites history, literally. The adventure takes them across the desert and deep underwater, and pits them against a menagerie of deadly prehistoric creatures.
There are betrayals, crash landings, rooftop chases, time travel, shark attacks and a hint of romance before they finally discover why her father was murdered, and confront the people responsible.
(This is edition 6 which has been heavily edited in the light of peoples feedback).

Maya and Nestor are the eccentric young heroes in this book.Travel back to the time of the trilobites, where people are working and living in the distant past.
There is adventure, excitement, mystery, and a lot of fun. The characters are well developed and the storyline is interesting.
I was totally caught up in the story, and could imagine the events very vividly.
Yes, there are some editing problems, but they aren't distracting enough to avoid reading this excellent adventure.

Maya Jenkinson and the Trilobite Affair eBook Martin J Moss Reviews
Interesting book; enjoyed the time travel plot line and possibilities.
This is a very fun book to read! There are so many plot twists that leave you asking what happened? It all ties in with a beautiful cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. I definitely suggest this book to anyone!
Good world building. Likeable characters. The book needs some typos corrected but I'm looking forward to the next installment of the story.
I really liked this book. Very suspenseful. The idea of trilobites having a...gotcha. You have got to read this book because I am not giving away any spoilers.
Worth the read. I'm sure it's supposed to do into the teen adventure genre, but it's good enough for adults too. Good storyline and flow. I dint know if there are more by this author in this series, by I there are, I would love to read them.
Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
Time travel, trilobites, villains, family, friends and an unforgettable adventure. Even though I read it years ago (2011) it has stayed with me. Quiet an original idea. Highly recommend this book. Great for teens and adults. Mr. Moss, I know I for one, would love to see a sequel.
Story development is slow and does not really begin before chapter 14.
Too much high-school-like artificial atmosphere and not enough trilobites (supposed to be the main subject), heavy background feminist stench often too obvious to be palatable (women scientists and secret agents, men merely peons serving women) which destroys credibility.
Obviously one of those modern teenager stories aimed at enforcing the politically correct system of education.
Too bad it lacks good scientific approach to support trilobites behavior description, this could have been a genuinely interesting aspect of the novel.
Not great, but okay if you want to kill a couple of hours waiting for a train to arrive.
